FAQs

  • What is supervision?
I connect with a registered psychotherapist supervisor on a weekly basis to talk about my clients on a high level. This connection with another experienced professional helps to ensure that I am making the correct decisions with your treatment and interventions. Essentially you are gaining two individuals weighing in on your case, which is always a better perspective than one!
  • What are some of the struggles you can help me with?
Anxiety & Depression Time Management Self Esteem & Confidence Life Transitions Attachment issues Family conflict Identity issues Impulsivity Isolation Caregiver / compassion fatigue Communication problems Dissociation Jealousy Life purpose LGBTQ+ Issues / Gender identity / Sexual Orientation Mood swings Midlife crisis Self-compassion Social anxiety / phobias Self-worth Men’s Issues Stress Management & Coping Work, Life, Family & Self Balance Perfectionism & People-Pleasing Peer, Family & Romantic Relationships Anger Management Substance Use
  • Have a question that I didn’t answer?
Book a free 15 minute consultation and I can answer anything on your mind and we can get to know each other a bit better!
  • What is the first session like?
The first session is an extension of the consultation call and involves a lot of background work. I take some time to understand you as the foundation for our therapy. This helps us to build an individualistic and structured treatment plan that is aligned with your goals and sets you up for a successful therapeutic outcome.
  • How often should I have a therapy session?
It’s different for everyone! Some people prefer weekly, biweekly or monthly sessions. I always recommend weekly sessions at the beginning in order to complete the background process and set therapeutic goals so that I can create an individualized treatment plan. However, ultimately the pacing of sessions is whatever you feel personally and financially feel comfortable with.
  • Do you accept insurance coverage?
Yes! However, please note that every insurance company and plan is completely different. Please connect with your insurance company to ensure that it covers registered psychotherapy. When you have insurance, you will pay for sessions upfront, I will email you the receipt and you can submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement!
